Welcome to our humble Shire.

The "Shire of Amurgorod" is a chapter of the "Society for Creative Anachronism" located in the Kingdom of Trimaris. In the real world living and working in Marion and Levy County, Florida with members in Anthony, Williston, Marion Oaks, and Ocala,.

" The Society for Creative Anachronism (or S.C.A.) is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe. Our "Known World" consists of 19 kingdoms, with over 30,000 members residing in countries around the world. Members, dressed in clothing of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, attend events which feature tournaments, royal courts, feasts, dancing, various classes & workshops, and more.” - http://www.sca.org

Although focused on pre 17th century Europe, our members study and recreate history around the world, including that of Japan, China, Mongolia, Middle East, etc.

We have Art Sci classes, fighter and equestrian practices at different times each month, times and locations will be posted on the
Yahoo! Groups Mailing List. You will need to join the Mailing List at Shire_of_Amurgorod.
This is where we get together and work on sewing projects, or learn about interesting techniques of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance; cooking, heraldry, animal husbandry, brewing, the Courtly Arts and such.

Our monthly shire meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month.
The Shire meetings are posted on the Yahoo! Groups Mailing List .
Our meetings start at 6:00pm with a social and Business meeting at 700pm. Meetings are currently being held at
the Marion County Main Branch Library.

Fighter Practice is held on the 3rd Sundays of every month at the Jervey Gantt Aqutic Park.
Fighter Practice starts at 2:00pm and goes until 5:00pm.

Other Fighter practices have been scheduled for the 1st and 3rd Friday's of the month.
These will be held at the Norse Horse Arena in Anthony
NE 100th St.
